“My name is Yasmin and I am originally from Somalia. Due to war my family and I moved to Kenya where we lived for many years before coming to Townsville.

My job as a Support Worker includes welcoming new refugees to Townsville, collecting them from the airport and providing them with on arrival orientation. I also provide language support at TMSG as I have had previous experience when doing a translating job in Kenya where I used translate for people from English to Somali.”
